Doctors Admonish NHL Owners For Failing To Do Anything About Game Violence

Back in August the Canadian Medical Association held a discussion regarding the violence in hockey and came to a majority decision that the league is far too accepting of violence. Two-thirds of the delegates at the meeting agreed to “condemn the complacency of the NHL in regards to violence in hockey.” The motion was brought forward by Dr. Pierre Harvey after he witnessed a particularly brutal hit that resulted in a hockey player being sent to the hospital with a concussion and a fractured neck.
